If you want to try something, use lukewarm tap water and do not pour in boiling water.

The best time to call is at the first stage, when water starts to stand at the bottom of the basin, because the blockage is cleared before it closes up completely. If a sour smell comes from the overflow hole, or the basin gurgles while the shower drains, there may be a narrowing in the shared part of the line. If the plug does not open properly, it also needs to be removed without damaging the seal.

Yes, if blockages recur often, a camera is the clearest way to see inside the line. The footage shows limescale, grease or narrowed sections, and residue building up at the joints.
