Beylikdüzü Manhole Unclogging

A manhole is a covered inspection chamber where building lines join and change direction, and the water passing through it should not normally collect. If the chamber has started to fill, there is a narrowing somewhere in the outlet pipe, and the water level you see when the cover is lifted shows how serious it is. We clear the outlet line with a motorised drain snake, then wash the chamber and the connected pipes with high-pressure water. At the end of the job we inspect the outlet line with a camera and, if there are roots, breaks or a sunken section, we show you on the footage.

In Beylikdüzü, the tall-block housing complexes create a building pattern in which a single shared stack serves dozens of flats. The source of backflow on the lowest floors is often greasy washing-up water, wet wipes and cat litter flushed down the toilet from the floors above. In covered car parks, grated drains fill with mud brought in by car-wash water, while on the upper floors the dust that the wind carries onto balconies runs into the balcony drains with the rain.

When a building caretaker notices a smell in the basement and checks the cover, the build-up is often found in the shared manhole. A resident who has just moved into a flat notices in the first week that their sink is backing up, and may not think the problem comes from the neighbouring flats' use.
